Today Oliver and I wrote a story together. I'll admit, bizarre doesn't begin to describe it. All the plot points are right from the mouth of a 3.5 year old, and the filler was written by me. I hope you enjoy our silly tale.
Once upon a time there was a white horse named Casper.
Casper wasn’t just an ordinary horse however - he was a space horse! What is a
space horse you may be wondering? Well it means that in between all his white
hair, you will find what looks like planets and stars. How can this be? Let us
tell you…
Our friend Casper may have been born on Earth, but shortly
thereafter learned he could beam himself into space. The first time he got
there, he stayed for a week. When he arrived he met a green helmet-wearing
Alien named Camera. Casper and Camera spent their days playing hide and seek
amongst the stars, and touch football on the planet Jupiter. After a week of
space-shenanigans, Casper decided he wanted to show Camera his home on Earth.
The only problem was he didn’t know how to beam him back with him. Camera
however was one step ahead of Casper, and brought him to his rocketship on
Venus.
When they arrived on Venus, Camera and Casper were met by a
huge group of aliens - Camera’s mum and dad, Camera’s wife Rainbow, and his
baby girl Treasure were all there. Camera and Casper explained their plans to
visit Earth, and asked everyone to join them. It wasn’t hard to convince his
family, and soon they were on their way! They had an uneventful trip but a
bumpy landing in Casper’s hometown of Ajax, Ontario. Casper spent the first few
days teaching Camera and his family how to swim in the lake, and then they
played a good old game of baseball.
Before long, Camera and his family decided it was time to go
home. Casper wanted something to remember his new friends by, so he asks Camera
if he has any ideas. He’s in luck! Camera tells him he wants to tattoo the
stars and planets on him, so he never forgets what it looks like in space, and
all the fun they had. Can you believe Camera can tattoo the galaxy by memory?
When the artwork is done, Camera and his family climb back into their
rocketship and fly away.
Casper is sad when his friends leave, so he curls up on the
couch and watches Bee Movie. When the movie is over he heads up to bed and dreams
about space and all his friends on Venus. He decides he will beam himself back
to see them again soon.
The end.
So? What'd you think? Awesome right? Oliver was mighty pleased with himself. Maybe there will be more to come...
