Are you between the ages of 18 and 29? I am, and as far as I can tell it seems as though our generation is the laziest and most selfish so far in the history of the world... don't worry, the 12-17 year olds are even worse, they're just not old enough to be judged yet. Don't get me wrong, I don't have any animosity. I am just as bad as everyone else, and I know it. I decided it's time to change that... I'm 25 and haven't really done much in my life to help others.
One of things in life that has really shaped who I am as a person is music... probably more so than even my friends and family. The frontman of TWO of my favourite bands Andrew McMahon of Jack's Mannequin and Something Corporate fought for his life in 2005 when he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) at the age of 23. Thankfully he survived, and in 2006 he created the Dear Jack Foundation to fight young adult cancers. If you read my last post you'll have read all about DJF already.
One of the events DJF participates in is the Light The Night Walk across North America. Light The Night raises awareness and contributes funds to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for researching cures and improving the quality of life of those with blood cancers. I have decided to do my part by participating in the walk in Toronto this fall, under the name of the Dear Jack Foundation. Walkers carry illuminated balloons - white for survivors, red for supporters and gold in memory of loved ones lost to cancer. My team is still looking for walkers to join us, and if you can't walk, any and all other support and donations are greatly appreciated! You can find my personal donation page here.

Thank you so much for your support.
